Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electric Vehicle (EV) Technician with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working with electric vehicles. Candidates with experience servicing General Motors (GM) EVs will be given preference. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and passionate about advancing their career in the rapidly growing EV sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on electric vehicles, including battery systems, high-voltage components, charging systems, and EV drivetrains
  • Conduct routine inspections, identify potential issues, and accurately document findings
  • Interpret technical manuals and schematics related to EV systems
  • Work with the latest diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot EV-specific problems
  • Collaborate with team members and provide technical support as needed
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines
  • Keep up to date with the latest EV technologies and participate in ongoing training
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle status, repair options, and maintenance recommendations

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working as an EV technician or in a similar automotive technician role focused on electric vehicles
  • Experience with GM electric vehicles (Chevrolet Bolt, GMC Hummer EV, Cadillac Lyriq, etc.) strongly preferred
  • Certification from an accredited automotive/EV program is a plus
  • Familiarity with high-voltage systems and safety protocols
  • Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and repair software
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
