LTA Homologation Engineer (Electric Vehicles)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end homologation process for electric vehicles (EVs) in compliance with LTA regulations.
• Supervise vehicle testing to ensure compliance with safety and technical standards.
• Liaise with LTA officers, inspection centres, and other stakeholders to facilitate timely approvals.
• Review and verify technical specifications and certifications to ensure compliance with Singapore’s regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with Chinese EV manufacturers to gather homologation-related documents and resolve technical discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of homologation files and certification statuses and provide regular updates to senior management on the progress of all vehicles in the homologation pipeline.
• Identify and implement improvements to streamline homologation workflows.
• Support internal departments with technical and regulatory guidance on homologation requirements.
• Stay up to date with changes in LTA regulations and ensure continuous compliance across all internal processes.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in LTA vehicle approval and homologation, with specific exposure to electric vehicles (EVs).
• Proficiency in Mandarin is required to communicate with Chinese EV manufacturers.
• Solid understanding of EV systems and LTA regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently under tight deadlines.
