Controls Engineer – Electric Vehicle

Key Responsibilities

• Develop powertrain control system requirements from machine-level performance specifications.
• Design and implement model-based control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink and Stateflow.
• Develop reusable and leveraged control features for various electromechanical system architectures.
• Utilize virtual product development tools for control system testing, optimization, and performance verification.
• Validate powertrain control features through simulation, laboratory testing, and vehicle integration.
• Analyze test data, identify root causes, and document performance results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in

model-based controls development (MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow)

• Hands-on experience with

electromechanical, hybrid, or powertrain control systems

.

• Familiarity with

CAN tools

such as Vector CANape, CANalyzer, or ATI Vision.

• Experience with

virtual product development

and control software validation.

• Solid understanding of

embedded control systems, electric vehicle architecture
