Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Head to spearhead our Heavy Electric Vehicle (EV) division's sales initiating from South India. This role is pivotal in driving the adoption of SUN Mobility's battery swapping solutions among fleet operators, ensuring seamless collaboration with OEMs and dealership networks.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and execute sales strategies to promote SUN Mobility's battery swapping solutions for heavy EVs (Bus and Trucks)
OEM Collaboration: Work closely with top truck and bus OEMs ensuring alignment with dealership sales processes.
Fleet Operator Engagement: Leverage existing relationships and build new connections with fleet owners to drive adoption of SUN Mobility-powered vehicles.
Team Building & Management: Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform product development and marketing strategies.
Financial Acumen: Collaborate with financial institutions to facilitate vehicle financing options for fleet operators, understanding the nuances of commercial vehicle financing in India.
Language Proficiency: Effectively communicate with stakeholders across in English and Hindi with proficiency in Kannada and Tamil (Operations launching from Karnataka and Tamil Nadu)
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA is preferred.
Experience: 7–10 years of sales experience in the commercial vehicle sector, specifically with trucks and buses, working with top Indian OEMs.
Regional Expertise: Proven track record in sales in Southern India including but not limited to Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh. Must an understanding of regional market dynamics and customer behavior
Customer Network & Leads: Established relationships with fleet operators and dealership networks in the Southern Indian market.
Proven Experience with Vehicle Financing: Must have experience with arranging financing for customers with inroads to Banks, NBFCs and Asset financing companies.
Skills: Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyse data and market trends to make informed decision
Linguistic Skills: Good proficiency in languages spoken in the region.
