EV Charging Station Master Electrician Responsibilities/Duties
- Design L2 and L3 EV charging station installations including all electrical work.
- Install, replace, or repair L2 and L3 EV charging stations including all electrical work and troubleshooting as needed.
- Manage installation crews for all electrical work.
- Perform electrical/EV installation work without supervision.
- Verify material requirements and communicate to operations any issues.
- Field installation of project scope ensuring all work is performed according to electrical code and is completed in a timely manner.
- Responsible for due dates and meeting client expectations.
- Manage subcontract installers.
- Maintain clean work area.
- Effectively communicate regular and timely project information to operations and clients regarding project progress, installation variance, and task completion details.
- Ensure quality and safety on every install project.
- At times evaluate, repair and redesign existing solar installations.
- Work safely and work well with team.
EV Charging Station Master Electrician Qualifications:
- Valid Master Electrician (Required)
- Experience designing and maintaining EVSE is highly desired.
- Ability to design the electrical systems that will power the EV charging stations, including selecting the appropriate equipment and calculating the electrical loads.
- Ability to create schematics and diagrams that clearly illustrate the electrical systems designed to facilitate the installation process
- Ability to conduct site assessments to determine the electrical infrastructure requirements for installing EVSE and make recommendations for necessary upgrades.
- 2 plus years of commercial and residential electrical experience with complex projects (i.e., Solar, EV Charging, etc.)
- Must maintain active driver's license with a clean record and have reliable transportation to report to various job locations.
- Ability to travel up to 80%. This will include overnight travel with extensive time away.
- Adhere to safety policy as well as rules and regulations.
Work Environment
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing a ladder or working from heights, lifting, moving, driving, pushing, pulling, requires good eyesight, extended periods of time where arms are raised above head.
- Ability to withstand varying degrees of temperature typical in an outdoor environment.
