About the Role

In response to the rapid growth in sites being developed as Zapgo rolls out its portfolio of destination based charging.

A critical role in undertaking site delivery evaluation and feasibility studies. The role will provide a central capability within which site configuration, design and financial assessment can be made.

The key responsibilities of the role

In addition to producing high quality pre construction information for our delivery partners the following deliverables and benefits would be seen:

1. Design and build assessment and recommendation of candidate sites capable of supporting the National EVC rollout.

2. interpretation of external DNO grid information in order that the siting and location of power to site is incorporated into the feasibility assessment.

3. Site specific general arrangement drawings (CAD).

4. Liaison with landlords or site representatives, in order to develop EVC solutions that receive strong support and sponsorship.

5. Budgetary build costs to support early site evaluation and commercial viability.

6. Provision of comprehensive pre construction information to enable detailed guidance to our delivery partners who will undertake the detailed design and build function.

7. Provide high quality information that our Partnership team can use to maintain communication and plans with landlords and stakeholders.

8. Ensure that when sites go into construction phase the Construction Director has a body of high quality and accurate site history information.

9. Assistance with site inspections to ensure safety and compliance on site and to assist Construction Director and/or Construction managers.

10. Build relationships with delivery partners and feedback on performance/accuracy of designs.

Whilst the role sits in the Operations team the role holder will work across the Zapgo wider team and supporting the engagement with our delivery partners.

Person Specification – The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Experienced Surveyor.
• Experienced CAD operator for the production of site plans/drawings.
• Experience of working within or aligned to the power distribution network operator, (DNO), sector and provision of new grid connections.
• Experience developing budgetary build estimates.
• Ideally having experience in the deployment of EV charging or similar solutions.
• Full driving licence.
