Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role in Gurugram for an Electric Vehicle Service Technician Trainer. The Trainer will be responsible for conducting training sessions, troubleshooting electric vehicle systems, providing field service support, and delivering excellent customer service.

About the Program
The NUA-Odisha Skill Development Program is a flagship initiative by the Government of Odisha, aimed at empowering youth, industry-relevant skills to enhance their employability. The program focuses on emerging sectors such as electric mobility, drone technology, agriculture tech, infrastructure monitoring, and surveillance systems.
As part of this initiative, the Electric Vehicle Service Technician – Trainer will be responsible for delivering both practical and theoretical training sessions, mentoring trainees, and supporting local skill development efforts in Talcher, Odisha. The trainer will play a vital role in implementing the curriculum effectively and contributing to the creation of a skilled workforce in the growing Electric Vehicle (EV) sector.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Electric Vehicle Service Technician – Trainer to conduct training on EV systems, components, servicing, diagnostics, and safety standards. The ideal candidate must be TOT certified by a recognized Sector Skill Council (SSC) and have hands-on experience in the EV service or automotive maintenance field.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and practical training sessions on electric vehicle systems, components, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Train students on EV powertrains, battery systems, controllers, motors, and diagnostic tools.
- Develop and maintain lesson plans, training materials, and assessment tools in alignment with SSC curriculum and NUA-Odisha guidelines.
- Conduct classroom and hands-on lab sessions using modern training aids and simulators.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, provide regular feedback, and maintain detailed records.
- Ensure training delivery meets industry and safety standards, including those from EV manufacturers and Sector Skill Councils.
- Maintain tools, testing equipment, and EV training kits in good working condition.
- Support awareness workshops, placement coordination, and community outreach initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma / ITI/ B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Automobile, Mechatronics.
- TOT Certification from a relevant Sector Skill Council – Mandatory/Highly Preferred.
- Minimum 4 Years Sector Specific and 1 Year Teaching Experience.
- Familiarity with EV components such as lithium-ion batteries, motor controllers, regenerative braking, and BMS (Battery Management Systems).
Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical knowledge of EV systems, diagnostics, and servicing techniques.
- Effective communication and presentation skills in English, Hindi, and Odia (preferred).
- Ability to use audiovisual training tools, simulators, and technical documentation.
- Passion for youth development and motivating students toward technical careers.
- Excellent organizational, documentation, and reporting skills.
- Willingness to travel locally for field demonstrations and training support.
