EV Technician

We are seeking a skilled and motivated EV Technician to deliver support, diagnostics, and servicing to our customers' vehicles.

This is a mobile role based in Northamptonshire, with the vehicle stored overnight at either Northampton or Kettering.

">

The successful candidate will provide remote assistance to other technicians within the group, working independently and self-motivated with strong organisational and time management skills.

">Job Description

">

• To service all makes and models of EV to a high standard efficiently.
• Identify customer service and repair needs, confidently explaining pricing and processes when appropriate.
• Carry out accurate diagnostics, fault finding, and technical support using Autel and other diagnostic tools.
• Provide remote technical assistance to other technicians, using written and verbal communication.
• To thoroughly quality check all work undertaken and seek advice/support when required.
• To competently undertake any necessary fast fit repair as directed or required.
• To communicate regularly with feedback to the Mobile EV Master Technician Manager ensuring deadlines are met and customers are satisfied.
• To work in a safe and clean environment & to be always responsible for H&S

">Required Skills and Qualifications

">

• Minimum Level 3 Qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Light Vehicle or equivalent).
• Strong diagnostic experience, ideally with hands-on experience using Autel diagnostic equipment.
• A full UK Driving Licence (clean or with minimal endorsements).
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – for effective remote and in-person support.
• Ability to work independently and self-motivated, with strong organisational and time management skills in order to manage workloads efficiently.
• Flexible and willing to travel and work longer days when required.
• Must live within a commutable distance to Northampton or Kettering, where the mobile van must be stored overnight.
• A strong level of numeracy and sales experience is essential to the role, including pricing work accurately and upselling additional services.
