Strategic Commercial Manager for EV Battery Value Chain

Job Title: Business Growth Strategist – Electric Vehicle Battery Chain
Job Description
We are working with a global leader in advanced battery materials to recruit a business development manager focused on commercial growth within the electric vehicle and battery value chain.
This is a high-impact role for a technically astute sales professional who understands the electric vehicle ecosystem, can build strong client relationships, and act as a strategic link between customer needs and product development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial initiatives across South Korea in the battery materials and electric vehicle value chain
- Drive B2B business development targeting original equipment manufacturers, cell manufacturers, pack integrators, and other key stakeholders
- Build and manage a robust pipeline from initial outreach to successful deal closure
- Translate technical product knowledge into clear customer value propositions
- Act as a conduit between customers and internal teams (research and development, product, leadership)
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to penetrate new markets and grow accounts
- Represent the company at exhibitions, trade shows, conferences, and technical forums
- Support the validation and onboarding of new products with customers
- Help position the company as a thought leader in the next-generation battery materials space
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in chemical engineering, materials science, process engineering, or a similar technical discipline
- 7–10 years of B2B sales and business development experience in a technical or industrial domain
- Demonstrated experience within the battery value chain and electric vehicle ecosystem
- Solid understanding of battery material applications and production processes
- Skilled in strategic planning, market expansion, and customer acquisition
- Proven stakeholder engagement and long-term relationship building
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
- Stable employment history with at least 2 years in recent roles
- Willingness to travel extensively across South Korea
