[Remote] Technical Sales Engineer- EV & Utility Solutions

Corinex is a global leader in smart grid solutions, enabling utilities to enhance grid visibility and support renewable energy integration. They are seeking an experienced Technical Sales Engineer to drive the adoption of their Broadband over Powerline (BPL) and AI-powered smart grid technologies in the electric vehicle and utility sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary technical liaison for utility and EV sector clients, supporting all stages of the sales cycle from concept to deployment.
  • Present, demonstrate, and position Corinex’s smart grid and BPL solutions for energy distribution, EV charging infrastructure, and data-driven utility operations.
  • Collaborate with customers to analyze technical requirements, design system architectures, and ensure optimal network and data integration.
  • Support the commercial team in proposal development, RFP responses, and project estimations, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance.
  • Drive proof-of-concept (PoC) and pilot projects for utilities, charging operators, and energy solution partners.
  • Provide technical training, onboarding, and solution documentation to customers and distributors.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders including grid operators, energy service providers, EV charging companies, and technology partners.
  • Stay current with energy transition trends, AI applications in grid analytics, and evolving EV infrastructure standards.
  • Collaborate with Corinex R&D teams to provide customer feedback that influences future product development and roadmap alignment.
  • Represent Corinex at trade fairs, technical forums, and industry conferences to showcase our technology leadership.

Skills

  • 3–5 years of experience in technical sales, field engineering, or business development within the EV, energy, or utility industry.
  • Strong understanding of smart grid communication technologies, powerline communication (PLC/BPL), and EV charging infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to translate technical concepts into clear business value and present to both engineering and executive audiences.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; fluent in English.
  • Self-driven, organized, and comfortable working in a dynamic, international environment.
  • Willingness to travel across Germany and Europe to support customers and partners.
  • Familiarity with grid automation, energy data analytics, and AI-powered network management is highly desirable.
  • German proficiency is strongly preferred.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Telecommunications, or a related field.
