Electrical Engineer - EV (Electric Vehicle)
Join a pioneering venture in Hastings, MI, focusing on integrating EV technology with aerospace innovation. This is a ground-floor opportunity to be part of a team developing next-generation systems with significant potential in sustainable air mobility.
We seek candidates with experience in EV systems, especially in propulsion, power distribution, or battery management. Experience with EVTOL or aerospace is a plus but not mandatory.

As an Electrical Engineer – EV, you will develop and integrate electrical systems for our eVTOL platform, including high-voltage systems, power electronics, and embedded hardware, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The role requires a detail-oriented, self-driven individual comfortable working across disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Design and test electrical power systems, including batteries, high-voltage distribution, and propulsion interfaces.
- Collaborate on embedded electronics for flight control, sensors, and safety systems.
- Create schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB layouts using tools like Altium or KiCad.
- Support integration and testing of motor controllers, sensors, and avionics.
- Ensure EMI/EMC compliance and noise mitigation.
- Participate in prototype assembly, testing, and data analysis.
- Coordinate with mechanical, aeronautical, and software teams for system integration.
- Maintain documentation and support FAA compliance efforts.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in electrical design, prototyping, and testing.
- Knowledge of DC power, battery management, and motor control.
- Experience with embedded hardware and microcontrollers.
- Understanding of electrical safety standards and system redundancy.
- Proficiency with tools like Altium, LTspice, or similar.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with aerospace, UAVs, or electric vehicles.
- Knowledge of FAA certification processes.
- Familiarity with LIDAR, obstacle sensors, and autonomous navigation hardware.
- Basic understanding of control systems or software-controlled flight.
