Job Summary

As an Electric Vehicle Technician, you will inspect, diagnose, service, and repair electric vehicles. Your work ensures our EV customers enjoy safe, efficient, and dependable vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair electric vehicle systems, including high-voltage batteries, charging systems, and drivetrains.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, system testing, and vehicle inspections.
  • Operate advanced diagnostic equipment and EV software tools.
  • Collaborate with service advisors and other technicians on complex repairs.
  • Maintain detailed service records, parts usage, and customer reports.
  • Stay up to date on emerging EV technologies and best practices.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; trade school or ASE certification preferred.
  • EV or hybrid repair experience is a plus (not required for entry-level applicants).
  • Familiarity with automotive electrical systems and safety procedures.
  • Proficiency in interpreting diagnostic trouble codes and using diagnostic software.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Day-to-Day Duties Include

  • Working directly with the service manager and team to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical vehicle issues.
  • Performing client consultations to assess concerns and explain repair solutions.
  • Running test drives, inspections, and system diagnostics.
  • Completing scheduled services like brake jobs, fluid replacements, and battery maintenance.
  • Addressing cosmetic repairs and providing vehicle wash/paint touchups when needed.
  • Ensuring every vehicle meets safety and emissions standards.
  • Documenting repair history and updating customer records in our service system.
  • Adhering to all dealership and state safety regulations.
