Field Service Technician – EV Fleet Support

About the Role

We are seeking Field Service Technicians to support EV fleet charging operations for a major client in the Kansas City area. This role is hands-on and field-based, requiring the safe transport, setup, and monitoring of EV charging equipment and related systems.

Starting in early October, technicians will work directly with fleet managers, dispatch, and operations teams to ensure vehicles are charged and ready on schedule. You’ll be part of a crucial effort to support the expansion of EV infrastructure across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport and operate mobile EV charging units, including trailers and generators
• Follow established route schedules and fleet charging plans
• Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment in the field
• Safely handle and fuel propane/diesel-powered generators (training provided if needed)
• Maintain clear and timely communication with dispatch, fleet managers, and teammates
• Adapt to changing priorities, routes, and site conditions as needed
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures at all times

Preferred Qualifications

• CDL license preferred (not required)
• Experience driving trailers or large service vehicles
• Forklift operation experience required
• Familiarity with EV charging systems a plus (training available)
• Generator experience (diesel/propane) a plus
• Physically able to lift and move heavy equipment
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and flexible with scheduling
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Must be 18+ with valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Additional Details

• Field-based role with daily travel within the Kansas City area
• Monday to Saturday schedule, 12-hour shifts
• Temporary contract with potential for long-term opportunities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.50 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 72 per week
