Automotive Technician - Autonomous EV Fleet

Expected compensation: 24.00 - 28.00 USD Per Hour
HireArt is helping our client find skilled Automotive Technicians to support and maintain its cutting-edge fleet of autonomous electric vehicles. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative, fast-paced team working on that values precision, accountability, and proactive care.
In this role, you'll apply your automotive skills in a fast-growing industry at the forefront of mobility technology. From routine services to emergency response, your work will directly impact the safety and performance of the company's fleet operations. You’ll ensure vehicles are road-ready through routine maintenance, light repairs, and field support.
We’re looking for experienced automotive technicians who are detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working around advanced autonomous vehicle technology. The ideal candidates have strong mechanical backgrounds, experience with electric vehicles, and thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Shift Options
Technicians Are Assigned To One, Consistent Shift
- 1st Shift: Mon - Fri, 7AM-3PM
- 2nd Shift: Mon - Fri, 2PM-10PM
- Weekends: Sat & Sun: 10AM-10PM
As An Automotive Technician, You'll
- Assess and document vehicle damage after road incidents.
- Perform minor on-site repairs and coordinate major repairs with partner service centers.
- Conduct regular scheduled maintenance and inspections (brakes, fluids, AC, tires, etc.).
- Monitor vehicle condition and report potential issues before they become problems.
- Support field operations by overseeing car evacuations and towing after incidents.
- Keep the fleet operational and road-ready by transporting vehicles for service appointments, repairs, and car washes.
- Maintain fleet and shop cleanliness, readiness, and compliance with safety standards
Requirements
- Prior experience as an automotive technician or in a similar mechanical role
- Strong understanding of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and EV fundamentals
- Clean driving record and valid Texas driver’s license
- Ability to work independently and handle fast-changing priorities
- Detail-oriented and committed to safety and quality
- Comfortable working around advanced autonomous vehicle technology
- Prior experience as an EV Technician is highly preferred
- Experience with ADAS vehicles preferred

Commitment: This is an ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt. It will be onsite and available to candidates local to the Dallas, TX area.
