Automation Technician

Jing-Jin Electric (JJE) is a world leader of motor systems and electric drive assembly for new energy vehicles (NEV), covering pure electric vehicles (EVs), plug-in hybrids, and hybrids. We are looking for a Automation Technician to join our team!

The Automation Tech will analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.

  • Using advanced knowledge of HMIs and automated assembly equipment candidate will assist production reach their JPH and quality targets
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and replace servos, camera/vision systems, on-line production printers, motors, robots, and other machine control devices
  • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and drawings
  • Proactively look for downtime and quality trends, root causes & variances. Develop action plans for & implement improvements
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues - failed parts, stopped machine, etc
  • Actively perform scheduled maintenance on all plant and production equipment
  • Quickly respond to and correct equipment issues
  • Cross-train Maintenance team on skills as appropriate
  • Basic use of power tools and hand tools
  • Try out equipment after repairs, changeovers or extended downtime.
  • Record operational data, such as pressure readings, length of stroke, feeds and speeds for use in set-up and preventive maintenance records or program.
  • Record downtime, reason, and fix in data base Ensure OEE (Operating Efficiency), Quality and Performance of KPIs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment down time issues including replacing components
  • Provide technical, hands-on support to the engineering and maintenance team for installing and launching manufacturing processes.
  • Install, repair, and maintain machinery and/or equipment.
  • Ensure all machines function properly through troubleshooting and maintenance service.

Secondary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Recommend design improvements for current and proposed manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform equipment capability studies.
  • Develop process specific operating and work instructions.
  • Train production associates on proper operating, safety procedures.
  • Ensure PM and AM completed per schedule.
  • Perform other activities as assigned.
