Service Parts Assembly Technician

Position Summary
We are hiring a Service Parts Builder to support our growing field service operation. This role is responsible for accurately assembling parts kits, preparing components, and ensuring all builds are completed to spec and on time. Builders are expected to read and follow engineering drawings and build instructions to ensure each unit is assembled correctly. The ideal candidate has hands-on assembly experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Position Responsibilities
- Perform final assembly on components before shipping
- Assemble parts kits or builds based on work orders and specifications
- Read and interpret the build sheets or diagrams
- Perform basic quality checks to ensure builds meet standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Ensure proper stock and alert the supervisor to shortages or issues
- Follow safety and operational procedures
Position Qualifications
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing superior customer service
- Ability to handle many functions at one time and adjust to rapidly changing priorities and schedules
- Ability to set and prioritize goals and achieve them per schedule
- Ability to execute and follow through on instructions given by the supervisor
- Knowledge of computers, MS Word, and MS Excel programs
- Ability to articulate clearly when writing, including composition, spelling, and punctuation
- High school diploma or GED
- Reliable Transportation
Ideal Candidates will Also Have
- One or more years of experience in parts/warehouse
- Experience with ERP systems
- Related technical degree
Physical Requirements
- The ideal candidate must be able to lift over 50 lbs, and complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
- Work is performed in a warehouse environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards
- May require duties performed in a warehouse or production setting, including loud noises.
- Work in a stationary position up to 75% of the time
