Service Technician — E-Moto / PEV Mechanic & Tech Support

In-Person | Ridgefield, Washington

Position Overview

As a Service Technician at REV Rides, you’ll be doing more than just turning wrenches. You’ll troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade electric rides in-person at our shop in Ridgefield — while also supporting our customers with basic tech support online and over the phone. Your day might include swapping out a controller, helping a customer pair their app, diagnosing a brake issue, or logging a warranty claim.

Core Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair both mechanical and electrical issues
• Install custom upgrades: controllers, lights, batteries, tires, etc.
• Log service and repair details in our internal systems
• Provide mainly in-person (but also online) and phone-based technical support for customers
• Assist with warranty assessments and part replacements
• Occasionally assist customers during drop-offs, pickups, or in-store visits

You’ll Excel If You Have

• Mechanical experience — bike shop, moto, or PEV tech background
• Experience with e-bikes a big plus!
• Confidence using tools and reading wiring diagrams or schematics
• Ability to use a multimeter and follow diagnostic procedures
• Clear communication skills — both written (online support) and verbal (phone calls)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Ability to lift 50–100 lbs and stay active in a shop environment
• A customer-first mindset — you’re here to help people ride

Bonus Skills (Not Required, But Preferred)

• Familiarity with ClickUp (task/project tracking)
• Familiarity with Gorgias (customer support/ticketing system)
• Experience with Shopify (order lookup, basic edits)
• Prior experience working with Fardriver, EBMX, SurRon, Talaria, etc.

Bicycle Mechanics — This Is For You

If you’ve worked as a bicycle technician (especially with e-bikes), this is an excellent transition into the high-powered world of e-motos and scooters. We’ll teach you the rest.

Training & Compensation

We’re willing to train the right candidate if you’re a good fit for the team.

• Training period pay will be adjusted from the advertised rate depending on experience
• Compensation increases quickly based on performance and technical progression
• Experienced techs can start at a higher rate depending on qualifications

Job Details

• Location: Ridgefield, WA — this is a 100% in-person position
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, Full-Time (occasional Saturdays may be required)
• Compensation: DOE (based on experience and skill level)
• Start Date: ASAP
