Full-Time Instructor - Electric Vehicle / Hybrid Automotive

**Overview:** Atlanta Technical College is seeking a highly qualified Full-Time Instructor (Electrical Vehicle / Hybrid Automotive) to provide instruction and support to students in the EV Automotive program in the Industrial and Transportation Technology department. **Responsibilities:**
- Demonstrate effective use of oral and written communication skills and knowledge of current procedures in the Automotive Technology field
- Develop and review program and syllabi, goals and objectives according to approved curriculum and course syllabi standards
- Evaluate and review students' progress in attaining goals and objectives
- Instruct, advise and counsel students, and maintain appropriate advisement records on each student
- Maintain strict safety rules in classroom and lab environments
- Monitor use of supplies, materials, and equipment
- Request and maintain supplies and equipment and prepares budget requests
- Maintain and review program certification requirements, as appropriate for program accreditation standards
- Prepare and maintain all required documentation and administrative reports, especially as required for grant purposes
- Attend staff development training, workshops, seminars and conferences
- Assist with recruitment, retention and job placement efforts
- Demonstrate and ensure the use of appropriate and effective teaching techniques, testing and grading procedures
- Serve on committees
- Maintain ASE certifications and ensure qualifications for employment are updated as necessary in technical fields
- Promote good public relations via contacts and regular communications with business, industry, and the public sector
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- *Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent and an automotive technology diploma from an accredited private or public postsecondary institution
- One (1) of more years of paid technical experience
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with diverse, adult learners
- *Benefits:**
- Advertised salary: $65,000 Annually
