We are looking for a strategically-minded, commercially astute General Manager to take full ownership of our new business line, The Charge Scheme. This is a rare opportunity to define, scale, and lead a greenfield venture at the intersection of sustainability, fintech, and mobility – with the backing of an established, high-growth parent company.

We’re transforming the future of electric vehicle (EV) adoption in the UK through salary sacrifice. Our core platform empowers businesses to provide EVs to employees at 20–50% savings. Building on that success, we’ve launched The Charge Scheme – an innovative benefit allowing employees to save 20–50% on EV charging via salary sacrifice.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and own the multi-year growth strategy for The Charge Scheme, from market positioning to go-to-market execution.
  • Define value propositions and commercial models that resonate with employers, employees, and integration partners.
  • Identify and pursue strategic partnerships to expand our reach and drive adoption.
  • Lead the Charge Scheme as an independent business unit with full accountability for P&L.
  • Oversee operational delivery, ensuring customer experience is market-leading and scalable.
  • Guide product development and technology priorities based on market needs and insights
  • Coordinate across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Product and Technology to execute the growth roadmap.
  • Foster a high-performance, outcome-driven culture aligned to strategic objectives.
  • Build and lead a lean but impactful team as the business scales.
  • Shape pricing and revenue models to maximise profitability and uptake.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers, vendors, and enterprise clients.
  • Ensure legal, compliance, and data security frameworks are robust and scalable.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for the executive team, regularly reporting on progress and risks.
  • Represent The Charge Scheme with senior stakeholders at client organisations, building trust and long-term value.

What you bring to the role

  • 7+ years of experience in strategy consulting, commercial leadership, or scaling high-growth ventures.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, paired with a strong bias for action and delivery.
  • Proven success in launching or growing B2B or B2B2C services or platforms.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience managing P&L.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills – with executive presence.
  • Experience working with or managing cross-functional teams, including tech, product and operations.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a passion for sustainability and innovation.
  • Familiarity with salary sacrifice, mobility, fintech, or employee benefits is a plus
