Vehicle Testing & Procurement

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead – Vehicle Testing and Validation to lead our testing and validation team. The ideal candidate will ensure that all electric two-wheeler models and EV chargers meet regulatory, performance, and quality standards, driving excellence in product reliability and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage the testing and validation team to deliver high-quality results.
- Build a culture of precision, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Testing & Validation Strategy
- Develop and implement comprehensive testing and validation procedures for all mechanical, electrical, powertrain and plastic parts with objective inputs
- Understanding core technical specifications and interpretation of regulatory standards
- TCO calculation for new model/ variant introduction in Zypp.
- Ensure adherence to relevant regulatory, safety, and quality standards for electric two-wheelers, batteries and chargers.
- External Collaborations
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and external test laboratories.
- Oversee timely and accurate testing outcomes from third-party facilities.
- Reporting & Communication
- Provide regular progress updates to senior management on testing activities, results, and any challenges encountered.
- Propose solutions and strategies for addressing testing-related issues.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with spare parts, IOT, marketing and other relevant stakeholders for onboarding new OEM partners.
- Support the teams in achieving performance, durability, and compliance objectives.
Key Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, testing and validation in electric vehicles.
- Hands-on experience with EV batteries, chargers and electric two-wheeler components is a strong advantage.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of EV standards, safety requirements, and global certification processes.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, equipment, and validation techniques for EVs.
- Leadership Skills: Proven experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
